1. Each player is only permitted to have two characters: one senshi and one civilian. Later on, as you progress in the RPG and we see your dedication, we will allow you a third character, which can be any of choice. Any NPC senshi (Errata) that you create is not counted towards your number of characters in the game as NPCs are played by everyone anyway.
2. You may earn your third character, a senshi or civilian of your choice, by participating in at least 4 logs/side stories (or a combination of the two, such as 2 logs and 2 side stories) or 2 stories for the main storyline. You must also have been a member for a month in advance.
3. Much like in Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon, the female to male ratio should remain close. If I find male characters outnumbering females, I will not allow prospective players to apply for a male character at the current time, and vice-versa.
4. Okay. This is a biggie in RPGs, please, if you see a rather large number of gays, lesbians, bis, do stay away from making your character one too. Las Vegas is predominately heterosexual and we are trying to keep the RP like this. We too will try our best to keep the character’s sexuality preferences balanced and make or suggest for applicants revise if we feel it is unnecessary for the character to have this preference or if the ratio is getting a little off balance. About 10~30 percent of characters can be bisexual or homosexual. The character’s life should not revolve around their sexuality too, very rarely will there be a reason genre-wise for making the character obsess or thrive on their sexuality. It must be relevant if the player decides to make sexuality a big part of the character’s personality.
5. Only the most dedicated of players will be awarded more than three characters. Please do no request to be given an extra character after your three character slots have been used; if the Proelium Council finds a player worthy of receiving a fourth or fifth character, this player will be IMed or emailed by a council member first.
6. No powerplaying; this is when you play your character and take another person’s and write their actions, dialogue, so on and so forth. There is a reason this is a role-play game, to play with other people and see how the other characters impact your own character’s life.
7. Godmoding is just as annoying to see as well; where you make your character super-powerful and unable to be defeated, they are a Mary Su or Gary Stu—perfect(and probably physically immaculate too) and unable to be harmed when fighting.
8. Yes, you can write for another person’s character to a degree. You cannot totally play them but if he or she asks you to substitute for them in a story due to absence/etcetera and you accept, you are obligated to play this character for X amount of time.
9. Although it may seem silly, we do make players revise if their character has an appearance closely like another. We are very into artwork and want to have diverse characters of all colors of the spectrum. Prospective players too should try their best to read over already accepted applications in order to avoid having to revise this later on. In order to help the players too, we will be devising a list of each character’s appearances to help avoid overlap. 4 o'clock in the m o r n i n g.
10. We suggest that characters are above the age of 15. After all, the mind set between a college student and high school student is really different. If you wish for a character under the age of 15, there must be obvious relevance.
