Storyline: Past & Present

Within a galaxy that seems quite unlike the one we remain familiar with, reside nebulous planets and the moons which surround each. Considered a corrupted realm according to the typical galactic gypsy, this galaxy had not always been such a ravished one. Still waiting season after season for the trial to take place, this foreign solar system relies on the petty brawl between two sisters for its salvation.

A myriad of planets, mottled in a variety of hues and scattered across the eternal midnight canvas, await the altercation between sisters Queen Euterpe and Queen Calliope to clear. The citizens of the city Lyrica claim that they cannot leave or invite others to their solar system, as their queens will not allow it.

Sibling rivalry had always taken place between two women; they had never been the best of friends. Each time they entered a rather severe quarrel, the entire galaxy would suffer. Numerous civilians would attempt to escape the Queens and hop to another solar system or even Earth even if believed illegal, to relieve themselves of this mess they had to tolerate every few years, past the era where Lyrica was well-known for its beauty.

In an epoch of bliss, the exotic galaxy had played a major role as well. Even in the Milky Way, there were shrines dedicated to the assorted arts that had originated on Lyrica and the other planets. The capital planet, Lyrica, located far away from Earth, still remained important to this epoch of bliss because it provided most of the leisure for the rest of the galaxy. From poetry to genres of music, even Queen Serenity made frequent visits to Lyrica, enchanted by the people and what they had to offer in vast amounts of creativity.

Of course, this was prior to the leadership of Queen Euterpe and Queen Calliope, who shared different views on every matter. They acted much like Greek Goddesses in their methods, allowing their bets and scuffles to occur below them as they watched from glass mirrors by their thrones. It had been no different this time, only this battle became the first to occur on Earth.

As known throughout the universe, this entire solar system created each form of art, poetry, and music. Nonetheless, the two rulers could never agree on something acceptable to share to the rest of the universe unless they somehow got by the other’s opinion, in pure secrecy. The only issue the two could ever agree on is who would have what share of the land, eventually breaking up the core planet into northern and southern factions.

Queen Euterpe rules Boreios Kingdom, the northern part of planet Lyrica. With its glass abodes and a sky trapped in an early dawn phase, Euterpe prefers the soft and sometimes cheery musical tunes that her people had generated. Genres such as classical, country, and ragtime had been results of her northern citizen’s hard work in producing melodies she could tolerate. Those who live in the northern realm generally wear light clothing of silk to go with their sunkissed skin and light-colored hair.

Meanwhile, Queen Calliope had total grasp over the southern hemisphere, the Notios Kingdom. Patches of metropolis areas reside here along with its abundant slums, the neon lights and the twilight keep civilians up and working. Seemingly an under city, most of the northern Lyrica rests underground, thusly those living here tend to have pale skin and widened pupils, even wearing dark clothing most of the time to keep themselves warm as there is not a single star to heat them underground. Queen Calliope’s tastes vary from Queen Euterpe’s, preferring the tunes her southern people have produced like goth metal and electronica.

From their thrones, they would watch as other territories analyzed their music genres created, realizing as one another had released genres the other had not approved of. Especially the planet Earth appreciated each genre immensely, although the Queens did not enjoy seeing this. After all, the only genres which the women could agree on were eurodance, goapsy, reggae, salsa, and surf-rock, genres which had been forgotten by many as it had not gained as much popularity as the others.

Recently, Euterpe approached her younger sister Calliope, coming to terms with the fact that their sibling rivalry would never end. This visit shocked the entire universe since one sister would never approach the other unless forced to. Upon this visit, the two discussed their brawls which lead to citizens leaving for new lives on places such as Earth. They agreed their fights brought too much negative publicity upon Lyrica especially and decided to settle their battle at last.

Music, although in charge of art and poetry forms too, had been a favorite of the sisters and brought most of the antagonism towards each other throughout the years. Deciding to allow each music genre come to life in the form of a sailor soldier, the universe would watch as they fought against each other upon the music-obsessed planet Earth. These plans could be brought to life in the form of a glittering crystal shard where each genre was compressed into this, grown in Lyrica’s Crystal Gardens, and sent away through deep space deserts, hundreds of galaxies, and eventually, delivered to Earth.

Each personification of a music genre would eventually meet up in a similar location although some born in scattered parts in the world. And in this commonplace, the fate would be decided between which sister had indeed been the most brilliant in their musical creations and settle the everlasting rivalry. In return, whichever sailor soldier had been defeated would also become forgotten in the minds of humankind.

A sick game, the two sisters kept this final battle quite silent outside of their own galaxy. Each assigned a guardian or so to their side in order to awaken the randomly chosen humans at the proper time so they could transform into sailor soldiers. These guardians had been the most loyal citizens and royal advisors to the Northern and Southern Courts and volunteered for this duty.

From the outside perspective of the planet Lyrica and all its moons, it has been told that some sort of war is stirring up between the two sisters. Nobody appears too worried about this intense war the Queens have planned out for years to come, as the sisters are widely known for their paltry fights.

Sprinkling the crystal-like forms of the musical genres above each part of the Earth, it remains a mystery which teenagers will become part of this fate and galaxy war not by choice, but by a queen’s ill-hearted game. At one time or another, these students will awaken and begin to fight those that could have been friends, all for a cause they were forced to follow by the loyal and nationalistic guardians.

The worst has yet to happen as the culture of Earth could be destroyed by the mere death of one star-crossed adolescent and an entire music genre forgotten. The two queens may even decide to make these Earth people ill-omened even moreso or their secret game could be spotted by a traitor of Lyrica, who left due to their constant wars upon each other, posing as a civilian. With such possibilities open in such a callous game, anything could become ancient history within several seconds.

Las Vegas, Nevada. Lilac eyes would soon glance upon a rather foreign-looking man with jet black hair meandering outside of a run-down club on her way to class at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dragged into this deserted nitery, her life would then change in a matter of minutes as the pale stranger explained her fate as a sailor soldier and personification of a music genre. Again and again, this would soon happen to many more teenagers and college students day-by-day as each of the doomed future senshi began to reside in Las Vegas.

The girl with the lavender eyes sauntered away from this man while cackling and shaking her head, calling him a “crackpot” along with numerous other names, and threatening to report him for harassment, not believing a word he uttered about such a place called Lyrica. Now late for her first class of the semester, it would be months before she realized the truth of what he explained to her and would find herself searching the corners of Las Vegas for this man, for assistance as her guardian.

From the glamorous galaxy millions and millions of miles away, both Queens Euterpe and Calliope watch Earth and the crystals which entered those who would represent each genre best. Eagerly, the two women await for their teams to begin, unaware of the third side they accidentally included and the other sundry senshi actually discovering their powers too.

Titling the soldiers of Euterpe as the Superna or better known as the Soprano senshi, those forced to fight for Calliope as the Meridianus or Alto senshi, and the accidental third group, the minuscule group would eventually be discovered as the Effluo, the Mezzo senshi. Not chosen to fight for any group, these senshi are without guardians and will soon discover their sailor soldier identities on their own while deciding on which group to support of the Soprano or Alto, if either.

While the crystals of hundreds of genres pitter-pattered around Earth, meeting up with those who most strongly represented the personification of that genre, there arrived the Errata senshi. The Errata senshi are hundreds of other miscellaneous genres that neither Euterpe nor Calliope prided themselves in very much and therefore, are not held in such high position with either. Even if these Erratas are much weaker than the Soprano, Mezzo, and Alto senshi, they have one attack and participate in combating from time-to-time, although not often. Most of the Errata will never even discover that they are senshi, after all.

It remains the Autumn of 2006 and just now, the battle has finally started and will continue until both sisters are satisfied. This sick game juggles the lives of those who were forced into an intergalactic ordeal they were unaware of their entire life. Will some of the opposing senshi become allies? Or will the Mezzo somehow find a way to add a twist to the war itself or even give hints to either side?

Once a quarrel between the Lyrican leaders has now transformed into a universal fate that will change everything pertaining to history, by the demise of just one person involved. The two sisters grow elderly and worn out, ready to see who had the stronger musical talent after all. Their eyes continue to peer down at the tainted city of Las Vegas, in hopes of watching a dispute break out between the opposing groups, now clad with their sailor fukus and steadfast guardians.
